A lot of people get obsessed over the greatest and latest TV and receiver gadgets. Every year near Christmas the market gets flooded and cluttered with a new bunch of receivers, TVs and so on.
And people buy. Even people who were very happy with their TV setup.
Stop for a minute and ask yourself: Why am I suddenly not happy with the quality of my TV screen or my HDTV satellite receiver anymore?
Now, I’m not the anti-consumer or anything, but I think it’s disgusting that every year we basically buy the same stuff, just to get a small advantage we don’t even really notice all that much. Or that doesn’t add much to the overall experience.
I think a lot of people would be better off investing in a nice audio setup. This is what really makes a difference and has the potential to transform your living room into a private theater room.
